Of girandole design, set throughout with hessonite garnets, the central part is removable allowing the earrings to be worn shorter, Catalogna, early 19th century.
This piece of jewelry is a very good example of early 19th century Catalan earrings. This unusual design was only found in northeast Spain, specifically in Barcelona. The choice of hessonite garnet is also very typical of the region.
